Volunteers In Public Schools
Dear Cinco Ranch High School Parents,
I would like to welcome all of the newcomers and returning families to Cinco Ranch High School. This year our theme is, “It’s a jungle out there!” If you are up for a great adventure, join our volunteer program.
Each of you has talents that can benefit our school programs, and your involvement plays a very important part in our students’ education. The neat thing is that volunteer opportunities are available during the day, evenings, and even weekends. So, there is something to fit almost every schedule and really…whether they admit it or not, our children still like to know that their parents are involved on campus and it helps you stay “in the know”.
Please take a moment to fill out the Volunteer Registration Form. (Click here to download and print) A new one must be filled out annually. Please review the wide variety of volunteer opportunities, mark any areas of interest, and return it as soon as possible. Please plan to attend one of our Volunteer Orientations in the LGI.
Be sure to always record your volunteer hours whether on or off campus. There is a Volunteer Sign in Book at the Welcome Desk at the 9th Grade Center and Main Campus entrances. You may also find sign in sheets at booster club activities.
|

Whether you are working concessions, keeping score at the lacrosse game, carpooling for robotics or hockey practice, working the Rice Harvest Festival for Project Grad, chaperoning a trip, or attending a Cougar Star meeting, your time is precious and appreciated.
This is just a quick reminder to record all of your volunteer hours either in the Volunteer Sign-In Book at the 9th Grade or Main Campus entrance. You can also record your OFF Campus hours by simply emailing them to your Volunteer Coordinator, Cynthia Rodriguez, at VIPS@crhsptsa.org.
Feel free to call her with your questions at 281-395-9246. |
As always, you are welcome to email your hours directly to me and I will be happy to record them for you. During the 2004-05 school year, CRHS volunteers gave over 54,000 hours alone. This provided almost 16 hours of time per student! The district total was just over 500,000 hours, so you can see that the time you report makes up a big part of the final number which does include elementary and secondary schools in Katy.
“It’s a jungle out there,” so lets take the challenge together to help Cinco continue striving to be the best high school in America!
Thank you kindly,
Cynthia Rodriguez, CRHS VIPS Coordinator (281) 395-9246 vips@crhsptsa.org | |
