PTSA Selects new Life Members
The PTSA recently selected three members to recieve the Texas PTA Life Membership Award. This honorary membership is one of the highest honors that can be presented to an individual. The three new members are Cynthia Rodriguez, PTSA VIPS Coordinator, Anna Hodges, Journalism and Yearbook sponsor and Brenda Gerland, an active volunteer since the school opened in 1999.
PTSA Student Scholarship Awards - Class of 2005
The PTSA proudly announces the recipients of the second annual scholarships to be awarded by the organization. CRHS Volunteers Receive President's Gold Award
Congratulations to the following CRHS volunteers who were honored with the President’s Volunteer Service Award this summer for volunteer hours they put in during the 2004-2005 school year at Cinco Ranch High School. The following volunteers received the gold award for 500+ hours of service at Cinco Ranch High School through May 31st: Barb Brown, Sally Crompton, Susan Handley, Toni Lane, LaDonna Luedtke, Kay Pontious, Cynthia Rodriguez, Zoe Smith, and Mary Visser.
Sally Crompton, Volunteer of the Year: 2004-2005
Congratulations to Sally Crompton, CRHS 2004-2005 Volunteer of the Year. Sally can be seen volunteering in most areas of our school at any given time. She serves on the KISD VIPS Executive Board and has been an active member of our PTSA Board many years. Sally is instrumental in developing our Cougar ENews communications this year. Thank you Sally for all that you do to make CRHS a better place for our students and staff. Congratulations to an incredible person for this well deserved recognition!!

CRHS PTSA 2003-2004 Awards
Congratulations to our CRHS PTSA who received the following awards from the Katy Council of PTA's for the 2003-2004 school year. Outstanding Secondary Beautification Program; Outstanding Secondary Parent Involvement Program; Runner-up Outstanding PTA; and Perfect Attendance Award.
PTSA Scholarships 2003-2004
The Cinco Ranch High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) announced the recipients of the first scholarships to be awarded by the organization. These students demonstrated outstanding service, leadership, and academic achievement throughout their high school careers. The PTSA commends their efforts and wishes them much success in the future. Rebecca Fox is CRHS Volunteer of the Year: 2003-2004
Congratulations to Rebecca Fox, CRHS Volunteer of the Year, 2003-2004. Rebecca is active throughout KISD in many areas, including the VIPS Executive Board, and has served as the PTSA 1st V-P Programs and PTSA President at CRHS this year. Her enthusiasm and love for the school and its students, is reflected in whatever she does, so thank you Rebecca, for all that you have done to enhance the school, and congratulations for this well deserved recognition.
New Marquee is Now Up and Running
The new CRHS electronic marquee, donated by the CRHS PTSA, is now installed and running. The new marquee is located at the entrance to the school on Cinco Ranch Boulevard. At its general meeting last May, the CRHS PTSA approved the purchase and installation of this new amber LED display marquee to replace the broken white one. The marquee will have the capability to provide information for all events at the school. Thank you for your support of the PTSA which has enabled us to provide this valuable communication aid for the school.
Traffic Light Went Live on Sept. 5
Thanks to the hard work of the CRHS PTSA, the proposed traffic light at the school's entrance and Cinco Ranch Blvd. became an operational reality on Friday, Sept. 5. To read the behind-the-scenes account of how this came about, please click the link below. more info
CRHS PTSA 2002-2003 Awards
The CRHS PTSA has received several awards for the 2002-03 school year. Congratulations to Terry Sarik who received an Honorable Mention for the Cougar Express newsletter from District IV, Texas PTA. Congratulations to Alice Stewart (V-P Membership 2002-03) who received the Heritage Award, and a Spring Increase in Membership Award from Texas PTA. Congratulations to Kay Pontious (Student Community Liaison 2002-03) who received the Outstanding Student Involvement Award from the Katy Council of PTA's.
Terry Sarik, Volunteer of the Year: 2002-2003
Congratulations to Terry Sarik who has been chosen as the CRHS Volunteer of the Year, 2002-2003. Terry has been the editor of the school newsletter, the "Cougar Express" for two years, and this year she has served on the PTSA Executive Board as Treasurer. Her other volunteer activities include working in the main office, and in the classroom teaching Junior Achievement. Please also congratulate the other nominees for this honor; Susan Dew, Lawson Freeman, Faye Holecek, Debbie Jones, Maggi Kefalos, Gladys Pace, Ramona Stubler and Nanette Turco. Thank you to all these nominees who have shared their time and talents in so many different areas of the campus.
CRHS PTSA 2001-2002 Awards
The Texas PTA has awarded our PTSA with an Outstanding Student Involvement Award (2001-2002). This award recognizes a PTSA/PTA unit with student members in which the students have contributed significantly during this year in areas of leadership, membership and project participation. Thank you Kay Pontious, PTSA Student Community Service Liaison, for all the work you do helping our students be of service in the school and community.
