Welcome to the 2005-2006 school year!
The CRHS Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is ready to serve CRHS. I would like to extend a personal invitation to you to become a member of the PTSA.
Why join?
I believe the PTSA helps you "get connected" to the school.
- Through volunteer opportunities, you will meet other parents who are interested in the education of their child. Last year, all departments within Cinco Ranch High School benefited from over 50,000 hours of service from volunteers.
- PTSA sponsors a "Lunch with the Principal" program where parents are invited to bring their lunch and hear Mrs. Brasic provide valuable information about CRHS.
- The Student Directory is prepared and sold by the PTSA. Families that have signed the safe home pledge, which is part of the PTSA Safe Home Program, are designated in the directory. The pledge is located on the directory order form.
- The Cougar Express Newsletter which contains school and PTSA information is published 5-6 times per year by the PTSA. The newsletter can be viewed online or ordered for mail distribution.
- The Cougar Paws publication which is published by the PTSA, provides new parents answers to many questions about our school community.
- The PTSA Web site, managed by the PTSA, provides a wealth of information, from daily announcements to volunteer opportunities for students and parents with direct links to other important sites.
- The PTSA hosts Welcome Coffees over the school year for incoming parents. The first coffee will be held in September.
- PTSA volunteers connect with the faculty and staff during Hospitality Events.
Students are encouraged to become members also. The PTSA sponsors the Reflections and Junior Achievement programs for students. Last year, the PTSA awarded $500 scholarships to twelve graduating seniors. Student scholarships will continue to be a focus this year. (Click here for more information.)
Please take a few minutes to review the information on our Web site regarding volunteering, PTSA membership and sponsorship opportunities, purchasing member-only PTSA shirts to wear when volunteering, purchasing student directories, pledging to be a safe home, participating in the grocery share program, and participating in Reflections.
Once you have completed the forms (click here to download and print PTSA forms), please staple your check to the forms and return all materials to the school in an envelope marked "PTSA."
The PTSA is a great way for all parents, students and teachers to be connected. Please consider becoming a member.
